Arrived 4.30 AM in the morning, dedicated check-in was not ready until 5 AM. The entire check-in process took 20 min before boarding pass was issued to me. Strangely, I was asked to pay 700 baht airport tax for getting out of the airport and checking in again. (I thought for less than 24 hours of layover, airport tax is exempted? Can somebody confirm this? )

Anyway, after collecting my boarding pass, I was escorted to the F class lounge by buggy and the 1st class treatment continued .....

Pre-ordered 'BTC' vegetarian semolina gnocchi with mushrooms & zucchini which I requested the crew to serve prior landing and on the spot prepare a simple vegetarian breakfast after take off. No menu pics for Thai as they were collected back prior landing. I'll let the pictures do the talking..

My 1st visit to Japan! Had a 10 min QB-house haircut, visited the famous Naritasan-Shinshoji-Temple and a night ryokan stay in Narita city. The 1-night stay will cost you 13,000 yen but comes with 12-course vegetarian Kaiseiki dinner + breakfast, 24/7 public hot bath and excellent Japanese hospitality! Enjoy the photos.

Was there anyone has ever used the jacuzzi (or it's a bathtub?)???
Been there couple of times, but never been offered to use the jacuzzi....

Now they have replaced their unique and handy toothpicks with the regular one...

I had 3 sectors with Thai and they are all consistently good! Maybe except for 1 cabin crew for BKK-SIN, no smile, speak with no "thank you".. as though everyone owes him a living=p

Been there couple of times, but never been offered to use the jacuzzi....

I believe the entire service is restricted within the 60 min, so you might get less time for massage if u choose to have the jacuzzi.

Visited 2 lounges at NRT. Disappointedly, the revamped suite lounge in ANA was nothing to shout about, basic facilities which you can find in many other lounges. (What's there to renovate when you are offering the same old things? ). Ambience was futuristic which I personally didn't like that. United 1st lounge was better in my opinion. Had 2 Fauchon ice cream and cold sake b4 I boarded the plane.

I have read good reviews about TK F Class, intentionally took up this flight with high expectation but was a little doubtful for an airlines with only 2 years of experience in F class product.....

It was a BAD choice! The entire flight experience was brought down by poor service and unattentive cabin crews. Both did their minimum job by just serving food and making the bed. Zero rounds of drinks service throughout the 12-hour flight.

On the other hand, the food presentation was really very nice with the help of the mood lighting. But don't be fooled by the look, it is the quality and taste of the food that matters:td:

2 meals served on board for this flight - lunch & dinner.
Main course for 1st meal was omelette with stale broccolis and peas (I did not take the pic, it was really unbearable). I asked for a change of main course, it was some dry udon in the main menu, the taste was ordinary and not first class standard. Deserts in the menu was apple strudel but it turn out to be japanese strawberries dipped with chocolates? I asked for half a glass of wines, it always end up with almost full glass of wine

Pyjamas was oversized and they claimed they ran out of pyjamas although there were only 3 passengers. Fruits and sweets were hiding in some corners, and surprisingly Godiva chocolates and teas were served in business class

To be fair to TK, the ground service was very good. You will be fully escorted from the time you checked-in and to your mode of transport after landing. TK business lounge was definitely one of my favourites, the only lounge that I have visited (so far) featuring their own culture and heritage. Nice!

The conclusion is .. Don't waste your time on TK 1st class! Unless you are just aftering the 'hard' products...
