  • MNL Loses F from Oct 2011, then gets it back

MNL is losing F totally as of 1 October 2011 - SQ910/917 goes to a 2 class service then.

It's an SV bird for 910/917 as of 1 Oct. Kinda good if you're a J pax, not so good if you had an F ticket

Awww. Some of the best F service I've had has been on that route.

But it's understandable, I guess. I pretty much had the entire cabin to myself on a couple of those flights.

Shame Oh well - just confirmed it with my friend at SQ MNL. Their loads were low and there was no point keeping it.

Oh dear, fewer route options for UMD to get his op-ups

                Poor me....

Well, I do have to admit that the occasional upgrades from J to F have been quite nice. Last one was actually to MNL on Dec. 15th.

I solo'ed in F on this route myself.

                  It was lovely!

Does anyone think Jakarta will be dumped eventually too?

Don't think so. Too many high net worth pax from CGK to do so.

I have always enjoyed the FA's attention when I'm solo in F I can see why they're getting rid of it though. That leaves CGK as the only regional sector with F...

A shame but not a surprise, the only surprise is it lasted so long. Once BKK lost it, it was only a matter of time...

Tricky one for them that. There are a lot of extremely wealthy individuals in Jakarta who fly SQ, but the last half dozen times I have flown to or from Jakarta (the latest being earlier this month) have seen well under half the F cabin occupied, so CGK may well also lose it.

But the good news there is that MNL passengers will get an extra flight with an "upgraded" C class (the SpaceBed) and AVOD all across the aircraft.

Hasn't SQ been sending the SV sequence aircraft to MNL for quite some time already? And on most flights at that?
