Aren't the 787 Y seats also used on the A380? Perhaps SQ made a gigantic order, or they're redirecting seats from the A380 refurbs?

Yes they are the lightweight Recaro CL3710s, with SIA's own customisation.

They are currently installed on the new and refitted A380s, all 787-10s, all A350 Regionals and the five A350 "Long Haul+" aircraft:

• 9V-SMV
• 9V-SMW
• 9V-SMY
• 9V-SMZ
• 9V-SJA

Although it's marketed as a "long-haul" Economy Class seat, the Recaro CL3710 is perfectly compatible with narrow-body aircraft, so it's an obvious choice for SIA to stick with this seat for product consistency.

It is also currently used in Economy Class on the Boeing 737 MAX by WestJet and flydubai.

Eight Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft are scheduled for "delivery" in FY21/22 according to the latest financial update.

This would relate to 6 from Alice Springs (ex-SilkAir) and 2 directly from Boeing. Unless the financial presentation (Slide 18 notes) is suggesting they are in addition to the grounded SilkAir 6... hard to tell!

It could just be the ones that have not been delivered from Boeing - there are exactly 8 of them (MBG to MBN).

Still registered to SilkAir as of 30 Apr. That's probably just because it hadn't transferred across to SIA by that date.

The next register update will probably reflect that one in SIA too.

Looks like Singapore Airlines will emerge with all MI fleet (NG and Max) integrated when the pandemic is over next year April (hopefully). That's good to hear.

On a side note, did SQ Group cancelled the remaining 6 order for B737NG or convert to MAX? I remember correctly they placed an order for 23 NG and 31 MAX back in 2012. With full integration by April 2022, SQ will be having 17 NG and 14 MAX (more to come in future definitely).

The remaining 8 NGs will be disposed of.

What happened to 9v-MBF?

MBF has now been transferred to the Singapore Airlines AOC as of 1 June.

Interestingly, three more 737-800s (to be sold) have been moved to SIA's AOC (MGF, MGH, MGP).

This suggests the SilkAir AOC will be wound up imminently.
