I wonder if we may see the end of F on some regional routes

My flight to MNL only had 2 other pax besides myself when I flew that segment in July. The service was truly a class of its own, and markedly differentiated from J. The "F is still F" mantra really rang true. So yes from my perspective it'd be a real shame to see regional F go.

If the loads and yields from regional F are indeed that poor, then economic reality might well cause the cabin to be abolished. One exception to the rule might be aircraft utilisation purposes where aircraft for long haul destinations (a lot of them with regional config too) are rotated on to short haul routes.

My wife and I flew F from Sin-BKK return in October.

We also flew MLB-SIN and the long haul was definately a better product as you would expect.

However, talk about service on the BKK-SIN sector - I like to think it's because we deserved "rock-star treatment" but sad fact was that Y was pretty full, J 75% full and only us two in the whole of F!!!

I suggest SQ keeps F and simply lowers their fares. They've upped all their fares in recent months like crazy. The worldwide economy is not booming and such fares may become hard to sustain!

I noted that too. F Fare Sin - PVG has gone up to 4,400 without taxes and surcharges. It used to 3,800 just last year. Which is why I stopped taking F class except the odd instances. The last time I took it the load was light.

It looks like F is being dropped from BKK from June. Just went to try and price up a couple of trips and I can see F until the end of May but nothing after. Oh well.

I wonder how long before MNL loses F as well.

No more "SQ won't give me F despite holding a DL award" rants on TOF then...

Yeah, I was just looking at my finalized booking for SIN-KIX and saw I was in C! Now checking availability via NRT. This sucks since it's a descent amount of time and I dislike feeling like I'm flying domestic USA.

KIX has always been '2 class' IIRC?

SQ regional C is much nicer than the vast majority of domestic USA F IMO. I'd go with NRT for the long haul product though.

Came across some posts recently about 'not so good service' in F but have yet to read any complaints about J.

J cabin service can also be better than F. The only thing you might miss out on are the warm nuts.

Sorry, did not know that. Am considering the NRT flight (also because the KIX one leaves SIN at 01:10), but really hate having to take the Shinkansen back over to KIX as it eats up a lot of time.

Dear Lady, you must have me confused with a certain YVR flyer.

SQFG always says, "F is still F!" HUGE AL merely listens to the experts.

Can be, but on average not. I've noticed the differentiation in favor of F on all the regional flights I've taken.

You sure are way past the point of just being 'fond' of your warm nuts, eh?

Buzz off! It's a completely legitimate rant.
