  • UK Krisflyer March Seat Sale

Again no stopover in Singapore allowed, despite them and the STB last week launching a joint initiative to get more people to visit Singapore ???.

The Raffles Class sale fare of £2120 is not available on the A380, and while I can understand that as the new flat JCL seat on the A380 is much better than the SpaceBed on the 744, when SQ308/319 swap to the 77W they are in effect saying they they think you should pay more to travel in exactly the same seat on the A380 than the 77W, just because it's on the A380 ?!.

"Flying from London Heathrow (LHR) -Singapore £505"

I know this is convoluted, but is it possible to redeem a one-way flight to LHR, fly back via the above £505 ticket, and let the "return" leg expire?

      Any regulatory (eg. immigration) implications?

I'd imagine there'd be no problems, but we'd have to know your nationality, work permit status etc to give the 100% accurate answer (and also for you to confirm you mean redeem ex-SIN)

i am curious what destinations in asia are eligible for this fare... it is a pretty good J fare for US citizens right now, considering how low the pound has dropped to the dollar.

the language is kinda silly.... i priced out an itinerary of lhr-sin departing on april 5 and returning on april 15 and the fare is 2120 pounds... obviously you are stopping over in sin for 10 days. i think that is just a boiler plate provision in all sq correspondence (i.e., "PPS members receive a double checked baggage allowance. no stopover permitted")

I'm S'porean, just going there for a holiday. Don't mind spending a mix of cash and miles, to conserve my miles for future promos

Then you'll be fine, and yeah, the exchange rate makes that favourable.. you could always delay til the last date going back on the return leg, in case you do want to have a second London holiday.

Quite a few in SE Asia are eligible, even as far as HKG (for a slightly higher fare, slightly higher taxes), but you need to "force" the booking engine to let you fly on 308/319 (a not insignificant task, as, for most destinations, you need to overnight in SIN on the return)

Incidentally, some UK based consolidators undercut the published 2120 J fare by up to £100 - try the usual suspects (opodo, airline network, etc - but not expedia - has SQ withdrawn from expedia recently?)

Does this mean you're visiting London in the near future?
