I tried to check a few other itineraries and it is now not able to quote any prices for award tickets.
I didn't try the website you quoted a link to but I am guessing that it will not include fuel surcharges which are now being charged on award tickets and make up for the high additional extra costs on "free" tickets an almost all airlines these days.
I was just really shocked to see a price as high as the value of a regular Y class ticket.

Since we are on the subject; does anyone know which FF program charges the least additional costs on award tickets these days?

You are right with the flying time, there is definetly a glitch as even the outbound on this particular flight takes over 18 hours via ICN and the return is about the same.

I got quoted once 43,200 USD in taxes online for a SIN-MNL redemption.
Of course, I called up KF and was put on hold for a LONG time while he checked if it legitimate or not.

That makes me feel so much better.
I really got a deal then for the SFO - SIN at the bargain price of only $ 1,340.00.

And the sad part being you paid it and didn't earn any PPS Value for it?

                          ooh... selective reading

Anyway - you can have my credit limit. It's about 2 trillion Malaysian Kwachas. Which at today's exchange rate is about 1.50 USD.

                          At tomorrow's exchange rate - it'll be 75 cents.
