Trying to book a waitlist award online and it says the selection cannot be processed. However, it will work if I choose an available standard award and the waitlist at the same time. But I don't have enough miles for the standard award. Is there a way to book the waitlist on its own (is this a website glitch) or does it have to be made in conjunction with an available seat?

Daron, are you referring to a biz class seat or a economy? What route are you trying to book? A bit more details will help. -
Seems to have been a website glitch- was able to call and get through to an agent who waitlisted for me. Was a business saver SIN-PEK.
Also my bookings page is now not even loading so there must still be some big issues going on.Comment
