Didn't realise that SilkAir launched its own version of BTC. Had to call in to change a CEB flight as the website was erroring out, and the agent asked if I wanted to BTC. Embarassed myself trying to correct her

Apparently they've had it for more than a year. Anyone tried? Any recommendations?

Only available on 3hours plus flights, not applicable to my routine SRG-SIN-SRG sector which is only 1:50hours. I always opted their Asian cuisines but, such as nasi lemak, nasi goring etc.

I also didn't know about this. I flew to DAD in J in Feb and outbound is 2:30hrs only so I guess it doesn't qualify. Return somehow is 3:20hrs, but going to SIN no dice. To be honest, the food I saw (we didn't eat it) looked very sad and quite appalling for a J meal. OS Y food beat the heck out of that mish mash on the tray. Waste of money and calories for a flight that was selling for a crazy 2,090 SGD in the week before Chinese New Year.

Actually inquired with the crew why no Champagne loaded and they said only if the flight is over 3hrs. When I mentioned to her that DAD - SIN was 3:20hrs officially it didn't compute with her and she wanted to argue.I just stopped her there and asked to create a VR (Voyage report) to have someone at HQ think about that one . Had some sparkling water instead, guess I got something bubbly so what to complain about.
