I was on 9V-SYD frequently in 2007/2008 as it operated SQ 422/421 fairly often. Had issues with the PTV, ripped seat covers, arm rests scratched, issues with the footrests in J and general wear and tear. Shame to see it flying in this state considering it's pretty young.
The world's too large a place not to go wandering.

For the price paid, the J class seats cannot recline properly, it requires a series of combination of keys pressed to move the leg rest, the table doesn't stay up properly, the armrests can't fold down completely, rendering them useless for putting drinks, and the toilets can't lock properly, the cabinets cannot close properly, the doors don't return back to the closed position, etc etc...and i didn't even bother to watch TV, because it's so old, it possibly still has a blurred screen. It's really sad to see the poor condition of SYA-SYE and SQA-SQH. Even the crew hate it. But oh well.

I think the reason why they didn't mention the freighters is, it doesn't really concern the passengers.

Compiled is a list of SQ aircraft and their current status. Some of them I can't seem to find latest info. I just referred to the CAAS register and notice some are not there anymore. Wikipedia is outdated. Let's make a list to compile them. Do identify those which went thru the 777 New Cabin too. Some other info are missing too.

Just wondering, is SQI and SRN still considered "derated", as I noticed that they are now used almost exclusively on SIN-NZ vv routers (AKL/CHC, SQ297/8 and SQ 281/2)?

I thought I read somewhere that they are now re-registered or re-certified as a "fully rated" B772ER, and no longer derated.
