Cigar lighter on SQ query

I'm in HKG right now and just picked up a cigar lighter.

Am I allowed to bring it back to Singapore on hand carry or do I have to check it?

I believe that falls under the category of prohibited items in your carry on bags. I think you may have to check it in but I'm not sure

Just got the cigar store to remove the gas.

Shouldn't be any problem, checked. I hope.

I personally wouldn't risk it as they are likely to ban it with or with out gas.
