I tried this on SQ318 last week, the crew seemed particularly keen for me to try it.

I have to say after messing around with it for a while it started to become more hassle than it's worth and I gave up in the end. I think they need to make it a bit more responsive, or more idiot proof then people like me don't run out of patience with it.

Seems that with all the recent "enhancements" whether for IFE or website, it didn't really impress us, customers. Instead, it brought more pain than ease. They really got to work harder!!

Tried this onboard SQ12 yesterday as well.
My experience was similar to MAN Flyer's. It became more hassle than it's worth.
Screen resolution (was in Business) is OK to read the articles, but the software needs to be much more efficient & user friendly (perhaps more like Zinio on iPad) before I will give it another try.

1) EK 77W has a much better IFE than SQ

2) CX 77W has a much better IFE than SQ

3) CX regional 77s have a terrible IFE system - they don't even give NR headphones for Business Class pax.

I hope SQ does improve.... even their A330, 77W and A388 IFE does not match CX 77W or EK.

I think so too. EK's ICE is by far the best. It also seems that the selections on SQ's IFE aren't very attractive (old movies) recently. After 2 flights, you are done with it!

I was on SQ878 on Monday in Y. The IFE, all the thumbnails pictures are missing. Do not know what happen. And some of the program like the TV shows were not avail

the teething technical problems have found their way to penetrate the IFE systems... (just being cheeky!!)
