  • Singapore girl winter outfit?

Would anyone happen to have a photo of the Signapore girl in the winter outfit/ coat?

It seems most airlines have the similar-looking winter trench coats. But I recall during a trip to Japan two years ago that the SQ girls were wearing something "unique." I was on my way out of the lobby and one of them took out a wool coat off her luggage, put it on and used this enormous silver clip to hold it together. The cut and shape of the whole thing was really different from a usual trench coat. I didn't have my camera back then...

I saw a black 'cape' with a type of 'fastener' (I can't recall if it was a clip or if it was even silver) being put on by one of the LSS about to open the doors when we landed at LHR during winter '08. No pics, though... ala 'Red Riding Hood' but without the hood!

I think that's it! It had a very distinct look - something from a different age or planet. But cute nonetheless.

Saw it once in PVG. It is a black cape like those you see in beauty paegents plus opague leggings. IIRC, covered shoes are worn as well

By the way, do Singapore girls still wear those "crystal slippers"? I remember they were required to change into covered-toe sandals inflight after the TPE crash.

They have to wear the shoes (if you can call them that) for take off and landing. That was brought in after the SQ006 incident. The sandals are for in flight etc.

Yep, the capes made an appearance at LHR last night. They are a nice design with it fastened at the neck and a large lapel.

Looks just like the ones which they have been wearing for years. Did they change their winter overcoats recently?

I've seen them wearing the cape while queuing at the customs clearance at MEL and they the same.

The photos does look like an overcoat.
