My last SQ 744 flight was 237/228 last November in Y. I will miss the 744 too. There is a certain elegance in its shape when viewed from the boarding gate.

Just flew on 9V-SPJ on the last MEL Jumbo Jet flight (SQ228). She parked at T2 gate F59 at Changi upon arrival. Tomorrow's SQ12 may be my last SQ 747 flight (or maybe even the last 747 flight of any airline).Comment

I have only been on the SQ227 once in my time and that was coming back from Singapore December 30 2004 in Raffles Class on the 747-400 and it is sad to see the faithful jumbo go.
Now If you want a 744 MEL/SIN/MEL you have to settle for Qantas which is just not the same.
