  • Preference: SQ323 (AMS-SIN) or SQ351 (CPH-SIN)

If you had a choice - returning from Europe around 1 Sept 2010 - which of the above flights would you pick and why (looking for flight-related reasons only, i.e. don't worry about how to get to the departure airport etc).
Want to book economy and then try for saver upgrade.

TIA for any input helping me to decide

The same aircraft types are used. Doesn't make much of a difference.

As stated above, there is no difference 'flight-related'. Both are operated by 772ER's and the flight distances/times are similar. Surely you would take other things into consideration when choosing a flight ?.

I have flown to and from both on SQ and would be looking at how I would be getting to and from AMS and CPH to help me me make a decision.

Both are similar but I'd go for AMS as I found Schiphol pretty reliable. Then again, CPH may be just as reliable. I also know for a fact my fave CC does SIN-AMS, so I'd lean towards that.

Anything north east and including AMS is going to be convenient!

Will the spacebeds still be on the 777-200ERs by then?

It is, CPH is a great airport. The bonus of CPH over AMS for me is a *A connection from MAN.

AMS and CPH are two of the best airports in Europe.

Does that mean that they are being upgraded to the new J on these routes?

                Thank you all for responding.
Any major difference in bus. class loads to be expected (given that AMS is daily, and CPH a 3-days-a-week frequency)?

You are talking about an event that will happen 1 year from today........

No. No known plans at this stage, but I am sure it will happen.... one day.

It would be AMS-SIN for me as

                        1. Schiphol, IMHO, is a hell of a lot better an airport than CPH (more stuff to do, better food, etc.).
                        2. Daily flights as opposed to 3 x a week, easier to get a Saver Upgrade from Y to J.
                        3. There is a smoking area in AMS (although not the best) as opposed to CPH (was removed some time ago).

However I must say the SAS lounge (which SQ is using if I am not mistaken) is a lot better than the SKL in AMS...
God must have been a ship owner, he placed the raw materials far from where they are needed and covered two-thirds of the earth with water...
