  • Change in SQ's CMB schedule?

SQ seems to have suspended all CMB flights after 02-Aug-09.

I haven't seen any announcements but GDS shows last SQ flight to CMB on 01-Aug-09.

I wonder if there are more suspension/cancellations to come.

Tickets to CMB is still on sale, per SQ inventory. GDS didn't show any indication of the route is ending.

From 02AUG09, service is shifting to red-eye service with new flight number pair, SQ468/469

Just curious, does anyone know the reason behind these ungodly departure and arrival times for Indian Ocean destinations (a-la Male and Colombo)?

To connect to early morning flights in SIN, e.g. to LHR

The red eye schedule has been in effect for years. It was changed to day time flights owing to LTTE bombing of CMB airport in 2007. This is reverting back to the norm.
