The promo prices are now uploaded.

I like the fact that SQ is now offering specials - funny that it is only for their Premium Class. Flights in Y are still ways to expensive.

SIN-SYD-SIN can now be flown on 747 and return on A380 for 3388 SGD - that's 50% of the price the charged before... Y just went down from 1.200 to 1.000 with too many restrictions.

They have a 3-day advance purchase 'catch' e.g. SIN-SYD-SIN appears with promo prices only on the 12th April onwards in order to get those prices.

J class on sale in Australia

SQ is finally discounting J class fares out of Australia.
2 to fly: 20% off
3 to fly: 30% off
4 to fly: 40% off
5 or more : 50% off

SQ placed in ad in a suburban newspaper in Syd, the first time that I know of. This newspaper serves an affluent area.

I just went online to see how much SIN-LHR-SIN in D class is, and it looks like the fuel surcharges went down by about SGD44.

Small discounts in business ex-NZ, but only to selected destinations - SIN, BCN (I thought that was being dropped?), PEK, HKG, etc.

Even with the discounts the sale fares are still higher than full fares were just a year or two ago. Not very attractive.
