  • Fate of the SQ-only RTW?

if SQ axes IAH and JFK, do you think it is also likely that they will terminate the SQ only RTW? Thanks.

That would obviously be their only choice unless they started to allow VS codeshares on the TATL portion.

I don't think there is any VS codeshares on transatlantic flights.

IIRC there are SQ codeshares on some VS flights to the east coast.

According to the network map in Silverkris magazine, VS codeshare exists from LHR and MAN:

LHR - BOS,IAD, MIA, LAX, SFO AND ORD

            MAN - MCO

              I stand corrected.

Being NYC based, I checked JFK only. I wonder why there isn't any codeshares to/from JFK/EWR?

Probably because SQ operates to JFK/EWR themselves.

                  Perhaps.

I was looking to fly SIN-SQ-LHR-VS-JFK but couldn't find any good fare. It would have been nice to fly A380 and VS instead of going through FRA with antique 744s.

SQ should allow A345 flight for the own RTW fares... More important than speculating about the future of JFK-FRA...

A little bird told me that Emirates might withdraw its A380 from JFK operations though...
