SKT is back tonight, heading to Narita.
All 7 A380v3 aircraft will be airborne tonight by 02:05 SGT 05/01 (SGT departure times shown):
SKS SQ322/SINLHR/2345
SKT SQ638/SINNRT/2355
SKU SQ317/LHRSIN/1855
SKV SQ423/BOMSIN/0205
SKW SQ346/SINZRH/0130
SKY SQ345/ZRHSIN/1735
SKZ SQ221/SINSYD/2040
(Thanks to my 'spy' for the info)
Seat map confirms SKT has the identical cabin fit to SKS (i.e. slight layout differences in Economy vs. usual V3)

SKT is indeed enroute to Narita.
Im surprised though, a short simple 30min ascend-descend test ... after 11 months on the ground - is that sufficient?
Even SKS did at least 2hrs... surely they'd have to test the newly installed systems after the retrofit and all that. hmm.

That's only 2 older A380s that have been refitted and possibly SKN is now being refitted and be in service by mid year. Believed SQ intention when it announced the refitting was to have all its 14 A380s refitted by end 2020 which now is impossbile and this year will probably see 2 or 3 A380s refitted which means only 4 or at the most 5 out of the 14 A380s will be refitted. And the refitted ones are currently are the ver 2 A380s and the earlier ver 1 A380s looks unlikely to be refitted as they be 13 to 15 years old by then if they were to be refitted, which seems unlikey.

I think they can just do a refit for Y/PE/J class seats based on current configuration for the version 1. It will be easier n faster. As for the suites, should just remain as it is (unless they can convert the 12 suites into the 6 new suites at the same location -lower deck).

Yesterday's SQ424 BOM had to be swapped to A380v2 (SKQ) as a result.
SKT is currently due to operate SQ424 BOM this evening (06/01).
