  • SIA onboard sales: 1:200 A380 model

    1) I want to know that for eg. if I want to buy the 1:200 A380 model plane sold onboard, do I get the model immediately onboard the plane?
    2) And how do I pay onboard?
    3) Can someone post some pictures of the 1:200 A380 model plane? Thanks!

    You order onboard
    cash or credit
But SQ will send you the model, simply because its too big for the cart

        That's incorrect.

gp3 - You'd get your model plane onboard. Simply approach any member of the cabin crew.

gp3, the answer given was totally incorrect. Well, someone perhaps need to curb the enthusiasm of replying when not sure about the answer. After all, not only me who had bought the A380 model (I do remember there was a thread mentioning about the sissatisfaction with the quality of the produc. ) I bought my A380 1:200 scale on board my SQ345 ZRH-SIN. The box length-wise is about 20 inches as it fits my Tumi 20 inches rollabag.

yes, I 've seen that picture already, but I want more detailed pictures, like in the box or already a complete fixed model.

ah: is there any way to ditch the stand (cause i think it's not really aesthetic)? are there wheels included?

                          hmm my mistake.
when my uncle flew i asked him to get me the a380. He said that he had to order it, and about 2 weeks later it came in the mail. Maybe they didnt have any more onboard.

This is a little strange. 1:200 isn't small, so I'm surprised they carry the models on board. When I wanted to get the 1:200 model of the Boeing 747, I had to order it and get it delivered to me. I did get the smaller 1:400 models of the A345 and A320 (SilkAir) onboard though.

that is because the 1:200 B747 isnt sold onboard the planes and is only sold online through mail order.
