According to the latest SilverKris Magazine (June 2019 Edition), SQ has 11 787-10 aircraft with 35 on order, for a total of 46 787-10s.
Last we heard SQ reduced their 787-10 order from 49 to 47 as 2 were converted into 787-9s for Scoot, but that’s about it.
Anybody knows what happened, or was it perhaps just a typing error?

Most likely a typo, but could be a further reduction. Boeing orders is still showing 47 orders for SQ... but 22 for Scoot?
For some reason the last 2 Scoot 788s aren't queued up for production, let alone delivered.

I suspect SCL will simply add to the 78X protection margin. There have been several one-off aircraft substitutions recently (SQ 622, SQ 978, SQ 618, SQ 948) that have swapped A333s and 78Xs between normal assignments (perhaps some specific flights required the extra seats?).
AFAIK, the GDS is currently not showing any further switches to 78X operation.

Interestingly SQ878/879, the second daily SIN-TPE-SIN flight this Saturday 29 JUN and Sunday 30 JUN will be operated by B787-10. Probably gotta to do with the demand due to EVA Air strike. Economy class ticket to Taipei is now going for for S$1,461.70 vv and is full on most days this week.

Stumbled to an old article whereby SIA CEO was interviewed during the delivery ceremony for the first 787-10 to SIA. He mention that australia market is very suitable for 787-10. But right now only one 787-10 deploy to Perth. Instead SQ is deploying more A350R
