Originally posted by sbs2716g View PostSeem like HK airport have just suspended all check in activities. Wonder SQ2 will be affected today or not.
Edit: seem like Flights are still departing n arriving but mostly will depart without paxes as check in is still closed
As for SQ2, they should be fine, probably will fly HKG-SFO with only through pax (if they don't again fly non stop and/or cancel and rebook everyone on SQ34/33)an infrastructure geek

Looks like there were some trouble getting SQ2 out with some commotion between police and protesters in the terminal, FR24 has a departure time of 0042.
Now enroute to SFO. If I were SQ I'd seriously proactively consider additional non stop capacity for people who don't want to risk it.Last edited by yuuka_miya; 14 August 2019, 01:07 AM.an infrastructure geek

Heard that CX715 last night have to offload luggage for around 105 paxes as these paxes are checked in but unable to get through the crowds to go through security n immigration.

SQ doesn't have a travel waiver in place (unlike the US airlines or Cathay) so everyone should be flying as booked, but perhaps some consolidation may be in order the next schedule change if bookings are bad enough.
Could probably use the extra planes given that MI's MAXes are still grounded.an infrastructure geek
