    AMS-EWR

Many years ago SQ used to fly AMS-EWR, but IIRC that flight was axed when they introduced the A340 non-stops to EWR from SIN. I doubt they'll restart those flights, but perhaps they still retain rights to fly from AMS to the US?

From an entirely selfish perspective, here's hoping for BOS! Getting there right now using SQ is a bit miserable, especially since the VS relationship has been eviscerated further.

Japan should entertain the option…especially with DL downsizing its operations and ownership.

I was suggesting this because I took a trip to Seattle with my parents and with my thorough evaluation of the entire Seatte Area and Western Washington State (Places like Bellevue I stayed at are extremely diverse especially with Asians and Indians), I would love to live there after I graduate college and land up a job there. Sadly EK is the only option to fly to South India. Hopefully SQ will do something like:

        SIN-HND-SEA and vv
I would also recommend SIN-TPE-SEA on BR, though TPE isn't an interesting transit stop.

Seattle is a lovely place and UW is a great University. You just have to get used to the rain.

I am not bothered much about the weather. I don't even care if it snows (I promise I will drive carefully if I ever move there). I just need to eventually have a taste of different winter weather and the sun going down later in Summer, earlier in the Winter which is perfect. Besides I am young, 23 years old and am ready to handle brutal weather elsewhere in the U.S.

SF Bay Area is absolutely still home but eventually after I graduate I need to make new moves like most of my friends have.

Back to the 5th freedom topic, I don't mind SIN-TPE-SEA, I was initially suggesting that but SQ's timing can be similar to the morning flight out of SIN, early afternoon arrival in SEA, afternoon departure from SeaTac and arrival to SIN early morning.

What? Have you not visited departure gate C3 in T2?

            This is what you get:

There was some talk about SIN-FRA-JFK-NRT-SIN vv years ago. That'd have been interesting!

Don't think Japan will allow 5th freedom flights from Haneda , otherwise Narita would really be affected.

SQ may not be able to compete with BR on TPE-SEA. HKG-SEA may be more feasible but that may trigger CX to enter this route.

SIN-DUS-ORD would be nice =) from one financial centre to another.

SQ's product and service would easily outstrip anything AB could dream of offering. Only their A330s feature anything but Y and even then its only 19 seats. AB is oneworld with a huge stake held by EY. LH couldn't complain because they totally deserted DUS, downgrading it to a LCC hub. DUS as an airport was desperate to attract SQ.
Speaking about Germany... I'm not quite sure what to make of this.

Could Hamburg (or another West European city with a large catchment area such as GVA) serve as a good stopover for a US-bound flight? Perhaps SIN-GVA-JFK could be made possible? Especially with word going on that LX is reducing its GVA ops or possibly intending to cut them completely...

Well, if there actually is a chance to fly HAM-SIN direct and make it viable, then it's definitely SQ's for the taking. No way will LH ever do it. They don't even fly MUC-SIN anymore. There are no direct flights from HAM to any Asian destination. The closest is EK offering a 1 stop via DXB.

I never thought SQ would fly direct to DUS because it's only an hour away from FRA by train, but here we are. HAM has no fast train connections to any major city except for BER, so this could also be a chance to connect passengers to Berlin as well as Bremen and Hannover as well.
