The article also mentions that the A35-90ULRs will also operate additional SIN-SFO non stop flights, 3 times a week. This will bring the total no of SIN-SFO non-stop flights to 10x a week - daily SQ32/31 by the standard A350-900 and 3x a week by the A350-900ULRs... Exciting times indeed!

Singapore Airlines today (11JUL18) opened reservation for its planned service resumption on nonstop Singapore – Los Angeles route, on board Airbus A350-900ULR aircraft. Initially service commences on 02NOV18 with 4 weekly flights (SQ038/037), increasing to 7 weekly from 12NOV18, 10 weekly from 07DEC18 (SQ036/035).
From 01DEC18, the airline will cancel Singapore – Seoul Incheon – Los Angeles route. Singapore – Seoul Incheon will be kept at 4 daily level as SQ008/007 replaced by SQ612/611.

SIA will continue to operate 1 daily Singapore – Tokyo Narita – Los Angeles service with 777-300ER, however further changes from 01DEC18 is likely.
Additionally, the Star Alliance member will expand nonstop Singapore – San Francisco service from 7 to 10 weekly from 28NOV18. The new SQ034/033 will be operated by A350-900ULR, while existing SQ032/031 continues with A350-900XWB.
Great choice of timings for SFO indeed. I knew one day they will find some way to have passengers arrive in SIN by morning. While none of my parents prefer the nonstops, we are still happy that SQ1/2 remain a good option for us as well.
