According to planespotters.net, 9V-STM has returned to service. Can anybody confirm this?
EDIT: FR24 shows that 9V-STM was used for SQ876/877 today.
Interesting because it is listed as available for lease from April (it was delivered on 16 April so that would seem to be the rough date it should be handed back).
Maybe a short return to fill a few gaps until SMB is delivered? Or maybe there was no interest in the lease so they offered it to SQ at a rate they could not turn down?

Could well be- they've been adding quite a few extra flights according to the PDF timetable, like SYD, BNE, CMB. 9V-SMB will allow an A330 to exit from mid-May but we've already accounted for that one. Perhaps they decided they wanted one more for the moment and went back to each lessor to see who would offer the best deal.
Every site seems to list 9V-STA as being part of the fleet but it hasn't flown since 23JUN which is a long time to be grounded! Anyone with any specifics on this one?
STR has been out of the skies for 10 days now, so wondering if it could be on the way out as well.
Wow, I wonder what kept it out of service for 3.5 months?
Possible that lease was up and sq wanted to return the plane but lessor gave sq an offer they could not refuse. We know that demand for used aircraft especially 777, a330, a340,a380 is very low with b787 & a350

The A330 - both new and old demand is pretty healthy. Especially as the SQ aircraft are quite young.
