9v-sqk has been out for 2 weeks now. Assuming maintenance on these old birds is common, will be interesting if she gets the same makeover as SRM

Hi!
I'm wondering if anyone can shed some more light on the remaining 777-300ers that are still to be fitted with the 2013 F, J and Y products please.
Will be taking SQ238 in March 2017 in F Class. What I've noticed is that the bird used alternates between a 777-300ER with 2013 and 2006 products depending on the day of the week.
From the fleet list posted by FSJZ, there are still 8 777-300ERs which need a refit. According to Planefinder.net, both 9V-SWT and 9V-SWE have been out of action since the 8th and 15th of November respectively, so I can assume they're both currently being refitted with the new products.
Does anyone know why there have been delays in completing the refit or when it is expected that the remaining 777-300ers will be fitted with the 2013 products?

Only now we can tell SQ is refitting more 77W as they're making some changes with certain routes (MEL loses the 77WN, and goes to 77WR), IAH/MAN go A350 sometime next year, HND is going A350, DME is also going A350 (Frees up about 2 more 77W). I think (but not entirely sure) that SQ237/238 will get 77WN once SQ227/228 go 77WR (No S offered on that flight pair).
The only routes I know that still have 77W are SYD/PVG. (211/212 and 836/825, 828/831 that have gotten 77WR's quite a bit recently) and also MXP/BCN (but that could change too).

What is certain is that SQ237/238 will not get the PY for now, so now 77WR unless there is some last minute aircraft substitution.

Thanks for that!
What I can see is that 227/228 have aircraft with the new products fitted everyday, whereas 237/238 seem to be a bit hit and miss (I did see that over the last 10 days, 5 of them have been with new products, 5 with old).
Hopefully by March 2017, they have upgraded all 777-300er with new cabins.

SQ237/8 has never been much of a priority for new products. It has only gone 77W in the last 6 months- prior to that it was always a 773.
SQ217/8 and SQ227/8 have always been the priority flights for capacity and product as they form part of the "Kangaroo Route" through the timings of their connections. SQ237/8 only offers connections to very much more local Asian destinations, however the ability to connect to A380s headed to DEL and BOM may eventually raise its profile. Prior to DEL going A380, SQ238 would frequently fly next to DEL as SQ408 (since renumbered to SQ406).

Only been 3 days, but I think our next candidate in line is gonna be 9V-SWG for a refit to 77WR. It hasn't flown since Dec 7. Now I wonder if they're taking every other alphabet now to refit instead of systematically. Enough posters believe they cannot refit 2 77W at a time, but you never know.
We are fast approaching Christmas season. IIRC, I think last year when SNC got delivered it went thru the 6 week refit even during the peak Holiday season.

From what I have noticed, extra Xmas capacity has been achieved by rotating A380s with 77Ws and then adding additional A330s or B772s. Since a couple of B77W routes are about to go A359, it's entirely plausible that they can have one or two 77Ws out of action in peak season. The A350s keep arriving but so far nothing is leaving.

I wonder when SWE is supposed to hatch. 6 weeks have already passed since it's been out of action since, and thus, justifies a cabin refit. I wonder if they're also fitting it with Wifi as I already have flown this back in 2015 as it did not have OnAir or any sort.
Maybe ya'll will know if there's a "Wifi On Board" sign according to some videos and pics.
