Anyone on SQ16 on Tuesday 29Jan?

My dad is trying to get the morning flight from SIN-SFO via ICN on Tuesday, but when he was trying to change his date from the 3rd of February to the 29th, SQ office had told him that he is confirmed for SQ2 (A380) and is waitlisted for SQ16 (77W). He wants a short layover, not a long layover to waste time.

Any chance of what the waitlist would mean for my dad since he is waitlisted for SQ16 arriving into SFO at 11:00am? He wants to try to get it confirmed. Anyone flying it on Tuesday, or know about the pax load at this time on Economy class?

Waitlist change all the time. There's no definite answer. Some may cancel & he moves up or a higher end pax comes into the list & yr dad moves down.

Went to SQ's site just now to find SQ16 is still available. Seriously, I hope if he calls the SQ 800-SIA-3333 number, I hope he will get it. Hopefully he will listen.

I wouldn't trust the SIA website. I tried to book SQ15 on a day in April and it showed that flexi saver was available, but when I tried to book it, I got an error (what's new). I then called SIA reservations and apparently the reason I probably got the error was because there were no seats for that fare class and I would have been wait-listed!

Sorry folks, my dad could not change his flight. Much to my dismay that me and my mom will lose this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly SQ's A380 from SFO (We don't fly LH as we hear the fares are too high for Summer). So my dad is lucky that he'll be on an A380.

Since tomorrow me and my mom will drive to SFO to pick him up, we will go see the A380 up close if possible at the Arrivals.
