SFO-SIN: Y or J?

Hi Folks,

Just needed some advise on the SFO-SIN routing. I will be completing my RTW F after the ICN-SFO leg and will need to purchase a 1-way ticket back to SIN.

Y is currently selling for US$971.30 all-in with mileage accural. If Y bearable for this routing or should I just purchase miles to redeem J class which will cost me S$2040 (before taxes) for better comfort?

But it's double the lower rate and I'm spent a huge bomb on the RTW ticket and I have yet to book my SFO hotels which IMO are quite expensive too!

Is this SQ1 a typically full flight? Was wondering if there's possibility of getting whole row to myself if I chose the former option?

Yes, IMO SQ 1 in Y is popular flight & usually always full over the weekends.
