          Hmmm...

I recall there was talk about the SIN — TPE — JFK — FRA — SIN RTW routing and the new East Africa destination via the sandpits recently...

Does anyone know if those rumours are substantiated yet (as in confirmed)?

It'd be great if SQ can reinstate YVR via CTS this time!

Did they ever fly to CTS (Sapporo)? I would love a direct flight to CTS (but think it will mostly be holiday leisure pax and you don't make too much money of those). Of course YVR is a big gap, but I don't think via CTS would ever be a go.

ORD! Via TPE would be good, I don't believe there is any TPE-ORD flight at the moment.

All way too leisurely and old world. You're not thinking like a hard nosed business organisation like 2011 SQ. More like Fuzhou, Wenzhou or anywhere the $$$ is...

Then SQ should fly to Zhengzhou and Aurangabad...

On a serious note, I wish SQ would reinstate ORD.

Seems like routes that should opened up by Silkair instead of SQ.

I'm sure SQ can make ORD work, connecting SEA with the US midwest. When they did ORD via AMS, it probably wasn't a good choice of Europe as a transit point. Using the great circle mapper, SIN-AMS-ORD is 10655 mi as compared to, say, SIN-TPE-ORD (9454 mi) or SIN-ICN-ORD (9418 mi)
