  • SQ237 Cracked windshield

Was reading the news on ST iPhone app when I came across an article that SQ237 last night(20FEB) was forced to turn back to SIN after the first officer's widshield suffered a crack. Anyone has more info on this?

oh wow - was trying to get a seat on that flight but it was sold out, had to take SQ231 to Sydney instead and then buy a ticket on Qantas home.

They were lucky a replacement could be found... the last time an air turnback happened to me we were dumped onto the next flight 9 hours later (resulting in some very unhappy passengers from the next flight offloaded to accommodate us). On the other hand, we were only too happy to be headed to where we were supposed to be rather than hanging around T3 after having not slept for an entire night.
