LH & LX RTW Fares

I have been looking at RTW tickets and found that the *A and OW tickets seem expensive for a limited stop itinerary.

I have however come across a couple of fares which appear to be LH and a mixture of *A and OW airlines (i.e. AC, QF, UA, SQ, CX, TH) on restricted routes. For a price of around $AUD2300 (inc tax) it looks like I can fly SYD/YVR on AC, YVR/LHR (via FRA) on LH, LHR/SIN (via FRA or Munich) on LH and SIN/BNE on SQ.

Just wondering if anyone has used this product. I also would like to try and get hold of the fare rules to see if I can use flights operated by LX or SQ but carry a LH code-share.

Seems like a good price, compared with $3700 as per *A RTW.

These LH pseudo-RTWs ex-Australia have been around for a few years now. Check with the local TAs (or their websites) for the fare rules.

Fares are offered by some other airlines too.

These are not RTW fares, but they allow travel via either Asia or North America or both.
