This is only Y class, isn't it? Isn't this a step up from a standard Y class meal for most Y class travellers? (I wouldn't know, as it's been so long since I've been in long haul Y!!!)

Yes, but KFC in Asia isn't as greasy as the stuff you get in Europe and the US. Not sure how to explain it, but KFC leftovers in KL still taste good the following morning, while KFC in the UK tastes pretty rank by the time you get it home...

Agreed. Bangkok and Tokyo one is not bad too.

Brilliant idea if (i) cooked right; and (ii) 5 times the anaemic portion shown in the photo!

I think it will be rather disgusting to eat warm soggy drumsticks?

Not against the idea, in fact I'll personally be interested to have it on a flight, especially the Zinger burger. But just.. how are they going to prepare it?
I wonder how soggy will a Zinger be after a long flight. Coming to the point on nuggets (kids meal), Singapore Airlines has a dish on the 'yummy' program called Fried Rice Surprise- 'Fried rice wrapped in an omelette parcel served with chicken nuggets'.

I can't remember whether is it a wrapper or box when KFC wraps the Zinger burger in Singapore coz I didn't eat Zinger for so long.

Sorry but as someone who considers himself a KFC Fan I never eat the stuff in Asia as you crazy Asians eat all the wrong parts of the chicken.

One has just opened in Times Square in Bangkok next to the SGS but as it has replaced my favourite Lacoste shop I wouldn't use it on principle anyway.

LOL! Yes, I would think that most Asians (especially those who love to eat) tend to like the juicier parts. That's why I always either get a discount or an extra piece every time I eat at Popeyes in the US.

In fact, America throw away most important and valueable part of chicken! Just like what they did to "cow".

I'm talking about branding here. Lots of people who fly Y expect to get a decent meal too. Just look at the number of discussion on catering in Y all over the net. Even if we know Y food is nothing to salivate over, there's a certain appeal about getting a meal in air. KFC is predictable and it is economical. Everyone knows they can get a few pieces of chicken at KFC for a few dollars anywhere back home. If I were a once/twice a year vacation-goer, getting KFC on board kills a large part of the allure of air travel.

And on another note there is a growing minority of people especially in the Gen Y age group who are more conscious about the food they eat and avoid processed food. I being one of them. There's no way in hell I'd be downing KFC chicken or whatever it is they serve there.

I get the impression that you don't get meal choices when you fly.

You high maintenance kids fly SQ too often. Have you seen Y class meals on other airlines?! If you really gave a 4X about processed food, there is no way in h3ll you'd be eating airline food, and you would know that KFC is an upgrade...
