    You can turn your iPhone's Airplane mode on..... the camera function still available on this mode....

      The last time I took ANA, they were very strict about taking photos when the plane is on the ground and can only take 5 minutes after the seat belt sign is off.
      yongchau, if you watch the pre-take off safety video, it's quite clear one is not allowed to take pictures before and dutring take-off. I tried to take some pictures of the cabin before take off and was told not to. Just specific airline reguulation. On SQ, I would be happily snapping away.

        I think I was once stopped on JL as well.

          Me too. But after takeoff it was fine to take pics.

              I believe its something to do with Japan's regulations on electronic devices. Both ANA and JL timetables mention this.
