After many days of nice holidays, mummy decided it was time to go home to Malaysia. She said she liked to sit on the 747-400, but wanted to connect home to Kuala Lumpur on the same day, so she got us tickets to go from MEL-SYD-SIN-KUL. We could not take UA again as the timing was not good for us, so mummy booked us on the Cityflyer service between MEL-SYD on QF. Cityflyer is Qantas's service to all the capital cities in Australia, or so we're told.
We got up very early to catch QF412, a 0730 departure from Melbourne. Mummy bundled us into a cab and we were off to Tullamarine. Using the citylink, we got a good view of the city as we climbed to the top of the bolte bridge
When we arrived at the airport, we went to the International connections area just like Uncle Keithmel told us to do. The nice lady couldn't give us our SQ boarding passes, but she did check our bag through to KUL.
Here's Leroy trying to put his BP away safely again. Still a bit big for him.
We then went to the Qantas Club lounge. Gosh it's so big and there are so many people. This is just a small section of the place.
Since some people on this forum like legroom shots, here's a shot of the legroom in the lounge
Bubba went to pick up a copy of the Herald Sun. Mummy reads it a lot- she says it's a blue collar paper, and she's blue collared so she reads it. We've only got one shirt each and it's white so i guess it's not for us. Bubba can't read anyway, he's just looking at the pictures of Kimi Raikkonen's provisional world championship win!
After a while, we all walked down to gate 11 where VH-OGT was waiting for us. Mummy was VERY happy then. She was hoping for a Dreamtime seat plane, instead of a Millenium seat plane. VH-OGT is a Dreamtime equipped plane. Just going by the names, we think Dreamtime is better too. Millienium's too hard to spell. Mummy explains that Dreamtime seats are 1-2-2 across on the 767, with 50 or so inches of pitch. Millenium seats are 2-2-2 across with only 38 inches of pitch.
Just before pushback - something caught bubba's Eye! 9V-SMS in MEL waiting to operate SQ228 home. That whetted our appetite for our SQ232 later that day too.
