  • What's wrong between me and my baggage?

    I'm simply speechless.

In March, Swiss misrouted my bag, and then misrouted the misrouted bag.

In May, bag broken during a domestic flight.

Last week, QF lost my bag while I was travelling to SYD.

Yesterday I wait 54 minutes the baggage at the carousel at FCO (flying LX).

Honestly, does someone have suggestions about how to improve my lucky with the checked baggage?

    I'm very frustrated.

If i recall correctly my dear Friend, you had a habit of packing everything including the kitchen sink into your bag. Maybe they've exceeded some kind of legal limit somewhere and as a result someone handler at destination or departure refused to pick it up/load or unload it?

      Yes, it's true.
      I bring lot of stuff.

But this time it was only 11 Kg.
And I'm usually very careful to not exceed 20Kg.

      I'm desperate. Help help help-

        Hmmmm...

Well you could buy a big trombone or viola instrument case and use it as your luggage. Then buy an extra seat for your luggage, telling the airline you're a professional musician and must travel with your priceless instrument...

        Just an idea...

Hmm, is this a case of baggage bad luck with or without priority baggage tags?

The only question I have is how much have you profited from travel insurance?

But it's FCO.. It's not normal to have your bags delivered to you on the same day UPS/DHL/FEDEX does a better job

                    I'm sorry about your predicament...

Kitchen Sink Traveller here also: I find it hard enough as it is leaving with 1 suitcase and coming back with no less than 2 bursting ones. Let alone carry on only.

I always try to check-in an empty suitcase. Travel insurance = shopping.

However, fortunately being a mostly SQ flyer, I have never been made worried much about my baggage all this time.

Also, I like to carry as little as possible onboard.
