How much are peoples bill out of interest? Ours last month for a 3 bed condo with 2.5 people was 430 odd dollars!
We have the aircon on at night and admittedly most of the day as Mrs 225 is at home but only one unit at a time.

Do you mean the SP Bill as a whole or just the electric part?

We are pretty much in the same boat as you, 2.5 of us in 1000sqft though 2-bedroom not 3. We did, however, come out of a 4-Bedroom 1400sqft but our usage and bill is basically just a bit cheaper. This is because we can use the a/c less now during the day in the main room than before.

Our b/room (1) is on all night everynight. A ceiling fan is on in the evenings in the main room. The PC is on all the time during the day as the wife 'works' to loose more money than she makes.

On average our Electric Bill is ~$120 and overall the bill is $165 per month with water and gas. The electric is about $10 less per month than from the 4-bedder we stayed before. Since the little Scoob is only 4yrs old at the moment his cot is in our room at nights so shares our a/c though i estimate at night a second a/c would add about $20-30 per month only. I get this from when my parents come to visit for 2-months and i can average out their influence on the bills.

In October out little sprog turned on the faulty a/c unit in the main room. The compressor works but the fan unit doesn't so we didn't notice it was running. Our electric went up to $180, or about 50%, and the compressor was on 24hrs a day for a month

Mine is about $140/month. Lots of cost goes to the 3 toilets that I have but we only use 1 toilet. 1 aircon on during the nights.
