In less than 2 weeks, GF and I will be embarking on our AONE3 trip (one of the few times during the year I'll be flying for leisure as oppose to work ) and our first destination where we will overnight is Glasgow. 2 nights is the amount of time we'll be spending in the Scottish town where our mode of transportation will be car rental.
On our first day there, we will be arriving GLA around 10am and we believe the remainder of the day will be more than enough time to discover what the city has to offer. So we have decided that on our second day, where we will have the full day, to explore the areas outside of Glasgow and was wondering if anyone has any place worthy in particular we can go with our rental car where we can go in the morning and come back in the early evening? We can go as far as 3 hours out of town.
The only place I've been to in the country outside of Greater London is Bath, Bristol, and Dover. And with Dover, I didn't really check the place out as it was our beginning/ending point of our cruise to Scandinavia more than 3 years ago. So it should be interesting what I'll get to experience in this neck of the woods. And next month I have a corporate trip to Manchester so I'll be adding dots to the places I have visited in the UK.
